Step 1: Create a shortlist of eight or ten preferred universities.

Step 2: Fill the Application form of the preferred universities.

Step 3: Gather your application materials, such as transcripts, previous institutions results, English test scores, a curriculum vita, a statement of purpose, letters of recommendation, and other relevant documents. We advise researching the prerequisites for each potential university.

Step 4: In order to submit your application to the institutions, you should now begin creating accounts on their websites.

Step 5: For admissions purposes in the United States, some universities may need a WES examination of your transcript. It could take up to two months for your grades to be tallied.

Step 6: They will notify and instruct you on how to pay the academic fee once you have submitted all the necessary paperwork.

Step 7: Acceptance and the accompanying Form I-20 are the first steps in obtaining a student visa.

Now comes the toughest part of American higher education. Listen up if you’re hoping to make your U.S. college education a reality.

One cannot enter the country without the appropriate student visa if they are an International student. You must first be aware that there are three distinct student visa options available to Indian students.

F-1 Visa: For international students who have been accepted to study for a degree at a four-year institution in the United States. In addition, Indian students must have this visa if their weekly study time exceeds 18 hours.

M-1 Visa: International Students enrolled in vocational or other non-academic programs will find this to be an appropriate choice.

J-1 Visa: Those international students who enroll in an academic exchange program are the intended recipients of this visa. Students who come from abroad participate in such a program would study in the United States while maintaining their enrollment at their local institution. Indian Students return home with their diplomas after an academic exchange program ends. However, if your exchange program is more than 18 hours per week, you must apply for an F-1 visa.

Most Indian students enroll in the autumn semester. In September, new students from abroad are welcomed for the Autumn semester.

Spring: Starts in January; it’s best if you miss the September intake

Summer: Enrolment for the summer semester begins in May for a select number of institutions and programmes.
